  1. Amanda: I thought that was a GREAT first youtube video!! You did a really fantastic job and were totally comfortable in front of the camera. A few suggestions: zoom in on eye when doing the makeup it helps us to see better, also swatch the colors you are using, and be sure to open the compacts and show the colors to the camera. Awesome job!

  2. Great first video - you wouldn't know it was your first attempt!
I've owned lip glass since it first came out and I have one (or many!ha!) with all the time. I think I have a problem.... ;)
    Following you now...

  3. For the first time, I thought you did pretty decent. With practice, things will get better! :)

  4. Great presentation! You're much more comfortable talking on camera than I am ;-)

You just need some more light on your face - it's a bit dark and hard to see the colors!

  7. Amanda!! Yay for your first video, Im looking forward to more! You did a fantastic job, much better than I did in my first video. You were straight forward & informative and seemed totally natural. I tend to ramble rather than getting right to the point...even now- and Ive done like 20 videos. I actually learned a lot from you, and how I can better my video presentation.

My one suggestion to you (which I also have trouble with) is to find some better lighting. I like to film with a mixture of natural and artificial lighting. I record with my laptop webcam and find that I get decent lighting in a room with windows and natural sunshine plus a lamp or overhead light on as well. I like what someone else suggested about zooming in on your eyes when applying e/s- if you have the camera capability. I don't have that luxury and I WISH I did.

If you havent already then check out some of my fav youtube gurus besides the obviously wonderful Kandee Johnson, the other I love are TiffanyD, Blair & Elle Folwer (juicystar07, allthatglitters21) and Amarixe. I watch their videos religiously and would love to be as popular as they are someday.

Sorry for this novel of a comment, but I was wondering what you kind of camera you use to record & what kind of editing system you have?

Cant wait to see more from you & your fabulous MAC collection!!
